Pocket VJ Pro Privacy Policy
Pocket VJ Pro is made by CustomTools.App LLC ("we"). This policy covers the Pocket VJ Pro app on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro.
The short version
We don't collect your personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no ads and no tracking. The app works on your device, and the few things that leave it go to Apple's services under your own Apple Account.
What the app uses, and why
Microphone. When you turn on MIC, the app listens so the visuals can follow the music. The sound is analyzed on your device into levels, beats and tempo. It is not recorded, saved or sent anywhere. The Beat Recorder keeps only the timing of the hits, in memory, while you record.
Sound from your Mac. On a Mac, if you choose Mac sound, the app listens to what your Mac is playing in the same way: analyzed on the device, never recorded or sent.
Camera, photos and files. Only when you pick them in Inputs. A photo, video or file you choose is shown in the studio on your device. The camera picture is used live and is not recorded unless you start a recording yourself.
Recordings and Library. Recordings you make are saved on your device, in the app's Library. If you turn on iCloud Drive for the Library, they are stored in your own iCloud Drive.
Local network. Used only when you host a studio, play a nearby studio, send pictures to another screen, or connect a TV tuner on your network. This traffic stays on your local network between your own devices.
Motion. If you turn on Gyro, the app reads your device's motion to move the picture. Nothing is stored or sent.
iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, your presets, looks, shows and the list of your devices sync through your own private iCloud database, run by Apple. We cannot see this data.
Purchases. In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We receive no payment details; Apple tells the app only which plan you own.
Crash reports. If you share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. We use them only to fix problems.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, show ads, track you across apps or websites, use third-party analytics, or build profiles. We don't collect your name, email or location through the app. Nothing about you goes to anyone else.
Children
Pocket VJ Pro is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect any data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
